There was a reduced fixture list in the U18 Premier League North this week with just four matches taking place. However, there was still plenty of talent on display including some top individual performances. Here are the three standout stars from this mini-week of fixtures.

Harley O’Grady-Macken, Blackburn Rovers

Harley O’Grady-Macken only returned to action for Blackburn in the defeat at Liverpool last weekend but he has hit the ground running straight away. He scored the Rovers goal in that game and followed it up with a stunning display in midweek. The forward bagged a brace as Rovers stormed to a 4-2 victory over 9-man Everton. O’Grady-Macken’s second goal in particular was crucial for Blackburn as it put them back in front after being frustrated by Everton for long periods.

Dominik Biniek, Blackburn Rovers

Dominik Biniek was the star of the show in Blackburn’s rearranged fixture with Everton in midweek. The forward assisted both of O’Grady-Macken’s goals as well as setting up Adam Caddick. He even managed to get himself on the score sheet by tucking away a first-half penalty. Biniek was at the heart of everything going forward for Rovers and his performance takes him up to joint second in the assist charts this season. The victory was only Blackburn’s second of the season and Biniek was crucial in providing it.

Trent Kone-Doherty, Liverpool

Trent Kone-Doherty was the hero again for Liverpool as they overcame Stoke City in a huge top-of-the-table clash. The Reds made it three wins on the bounce and went above the Potters into second with the win. Kone-Doherty scored twice including an 80th-minute winner to take his tally to six for the season. The forward continued his great form with all six of his goals coming in his last five league matches. The brace moves him up to joint second top scorer in the U18 Premier League North behind his teammate Louie Koumas.
