Ben Doak signs professional contract at Liverpool

Ben Doak has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool after a stunning start to the season for both the U18s and U21s since arriving in the summer.

The forward turned 17 last Friday in a special week where he made his first-team debut in the Carabao Cup against Derby County and retained his spot on the bench for the Reds’ Premier League clash with Southampton on Saturday.

Scotland U21 international Doak has enjoyed a fine season since he arrived at the club from Celtic in the summer, impressing with his quick, direct running on the right wing and eye for goal.

Doak started the season with the Liverpool U18 side where he has grabbed two goals and two assists in the U18 Premier League.

The Scot has also made appearances in Premier League 2 and the Papa Johns Trophy for the Liverpool U21s in recent weeks and has been a huge part of the Liverpool U19 side in the UEFA Youth League.

Ben Doak has scored four goals and provided four assists to help the young Reds top their Youth League group and progress to the last 16 of the competition which is due to be played in February.

The forward has quickly become a fan favourite at the young Reds with many fans tipping him to have a bright future at the club.
