EABL Top Performers: Louie Tucker

There were a lot of solid performances across the board in week 17 of EABL. However there was only one player that stood out from the crowd and that was none other than the EABL’s leading scorer Louie Tucker

SGS College picked up their most vital win of the season in week 17 of EABL fixtures, beating top-of-the-table rivals Charnwood 82-66 in a tightly contested affair. The importance of the victory for SGS can’t be underestimated. Winning the game leaves them level on points with the Derby Trail Blazers, who currently occupy the elusive fourth and final spot, guaranteeing postseason basketball at the end of the EABL season.

The man behind the win has been the best player in the league this season, Louie Tucker. The SGS guard had scored 17 and 18 points in his previous two games and put on a show in his team’s must-win game, lighting up the field with some masterful shooting and scoring 27 points. His all-round play set the tone for the game, grabbing nine rebounds, dishing out two assists, and swatting away two shots in an inspiring performance from SGS’s star man.

Tucker’s statistics for this season have been nothing short of impressive, leading the league in average efficiency rating with 22, and doing the same in scoring, averaging 25.6 points. Tucker has recently committed to McCook Community College, competing in the NJCAA Division One Region Nine.
