Jamie Donley has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2027.

The 18-year-old striker joined the club at the age of eight. He made his Under-18 debut during the 2020-21 season while still a schoolboy. As he continued to make progress, he signed his first professional contract in January 2022. Last season, he finished the campaign with 17 goals in 21 appearances for Stuart Lewis’s Under-18s side.

Jamie Donley has been capped by England and Northern Ireland at youth level. He has continued where he left off from last season, contributing heavily for both the Under-18s and Under-21s. He scored his first goal this campaign for Tottenham’s development team in a 2-0 win against Liverpool in early January. He also scored his side’s first goal in the 2022-23 UEFA Youth League opening group game against Marseille, and he went on to start five games for the Under-19s side.

After signing his new contract, Jamie Donley said: “It’s a very proud moment for me and my family. My whole family supports Spurs, so that’s obviously a big moment for us. I have been here since I was eight years old, so all I really know is Tottenham. My family is obviously very proud of me.

“So hopefully I can keep going, carry on the way I’m going, and hopefully I’ll make my way to the first team soon. Like I said, I’m obviously a massive Tottenham fan myself. So, whether I’m playing Under-18s or Under-21s, I don’t mind. I am just happy to play football.

“I’d say from Under-13s to Under-18s, I’ve had Stuart as a coach. So, maybe when I was Under-15s, I would play up with the Under-16s, and then when I was Under-16s, I would go up with the Under-18s. And obviously, then I became a first-year scholar, and I had quite a good relationship with Stuart. So, he helps me a lot and pushes me to what he knows I can do.”
