Fulham have tied down 17-year-old winger Lemar Gordon to his first professional contract.

Fulham Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Lemar Gordon, the winger’s first professional deal. The 17-year-old player joined the club from Brentford after their Academy’s closure and has been a crucial part of Ali Melloul’s Under-18s team this season. With his impressive speed and talent for taking on defenders, Lemar is an exciting player to watch and can thrill the crowd at any moment.

Despite being considerably younger than most of the players he faced, Lemar’s talent was recognized last season when he played up for the 18s. After signing his contract, he expressed his joy in an interview with fulhamfc.com, saying, “I’m feeling really happy to have been offered my first professional contract at Fulham FC. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time, and I’m so grateful that my journey will continue here.”

Lemar sees the club as his home, having been with them since the end of Under-10s, and credited them with his development as a player and as a person. He described the moment he learned of his signing as a “proud moment” for him and his family, and he was buzzing with excitement.

Looking ahead, Lemar’s goal for the next year is to play with the Under-21s and work hard to break into the First Team. Academy Director Sean Cullen congratulated Lemar on his achievement, saying, “This is a fantastic moment for Lemar and his family, and comes as a reward for his hard work and commitment to the programme. The challenge for Lemar now is to show that he’s ready for the next step in his journey.”
