Manchester City U21 has claimed its third consecutive Premier League 2 title following another successful season. They claimed the title with an away victory at Blackburn Rovers where they won 3-0 thanks to goals from an Adedire Mebude penalty and a brace from Carlos Borges.

City made history with this three-peat, becoming the only side to ever win the PL2 Division One three times in a row. With two games to spare, Manchester City sits ten points clear of Chelsea at the summit of the table.

Borges brought his goal tally up to 20 for the season, as well as contributing eight assists in what is a season to remember for the 19-year-old. His incredible goal-scoring campaign will likely see him end the season not only as Man City’s top scorer but also the league’s.

Oscar Bobb has been a real creative spark for City this season, and with two games to go, the Norwegian has six goals and 15 assists. Mebude has also been a huge factor in the dominance of Manchester City, and at just 19 years old, his 11 goals and 13 assists show promise for the future.

City will face Wolves and Arsenal in their final two games of the very successful season.
