Leeds United travel to West Brom with the PL2 Divison 2 title in the balance

Leeds United U21 will travel to face West Bromwich Albion U21 in the final game of the PL2 Division 2 season in what could be a title decider.

A single point for Leeds would see them crowned as Division 2 champions and promoted to Division One.

Both Leeds and Southampton have accumulated 42 points at the top of the table, but the Saints have a slight lead on goal difference. The game between Leeds and West Brom will therefore close out the season with a bang.

Leeds come into the match off the back of an important 3-1 win against Middlesbrough, thanks to goals from Charlie Allen, Archie Gray, and Sonny Perkins. Although it wasn’t easy for the Whites as they went a goal down after 20 minutes and had to see out their victory with ten men as Gray was dismissed in the 70th minute.

West Brom, on the other hand, suffered a goalless draw in their penultimate game of the season against Stoke City earlier in the week. However, the Baggies had their playoff spot confirmed on Sunday after Norwich was defeated by Southampton.

The hosts will be hoping to make a statement with a victory against the title hopefuls as they prepare for the playoffs.

The game between Leeds and West Bromwich Albion U21 will be a high-stakes affair, with the title and automatic promotion spot on the line for Leeds. However, all they need is a single point to secure their promotion.

The match is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 28, at 2:00 pm BST.
