Will Lankshear has signed a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur that will run until 2026.

The 18-year-old centre-forward arrived at Hotspur Way from Sheffield United last summer. He did not take long to make a huge impression, as he scored twice on his debut for the U18s in October in a 3 – 3 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the U18 Premier League Cup group stage.

Will Lankshear scored eight goals in eight games in all competitions domestically at U18 level. Additionally, he made two appearances for Wayne Burnett’s Tottenham U19s side in the UEFA Youth League during the first half of the season. He scored in the 2 – 1 home defeat against semi-finalists Sporting Lisbon.

Speaking after putting pen to paper on a new deal, Lankshear expressed his joy in an interview on SPURSPLAY, saying:

“Firstly, I would like to thank my parents. They sacrificed a lot for me. You know, it’s not been an easy ride. You know, I’ve grown up in Sheffield. Living away from my family, it feels surreal, to be honest. I felt like Tottenham was the right club for me to develop. You know, the staff here, I really felt like they can make me much more of a league player. I love playing for Tottenham, whether it’s the U18s, U21s, and even playing at the Tottenham Stadium, it was a brilliant moment for me, and as a player, I love to score goals. I was just looking to do more of the exact same, scoring goals, you know, helping the team out. That’s really what I’m here to do, you know, help the team win, and hopefully push on and get some more opportunities in the first team.
