Debrecen, Hungary — Spain showcased their dominance and secured a convincing 83-51 victory, booking their place in the Final against France. The arena was filled with cheers from passionate Turkish supporters, creating a home-advantage atmosphere. Spain’s Jordi Rodriguez emerged as Spain’s top scorer, leading his team with an impressive 20 points and 5 rebounds, followed closely by Izan Perez, who contributed 17 points.

The game started with an explosive one-handed dunk by Izan Pérez of Spain, extending their lead to 15-6 and prompting Turkey’s coach Dogan to call a timeout. Tan Yidizoglu of Turkey responded with a tough bucket, narrowing the deficit, but Sergio Asenjo of Spain quickly countered with a score, giving Spain a seven-point lead by the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Spain continued to assert their dominance, extending their lead to 31-19. The electrifying play continued as Papa Miller of Spain caught a high lob from Lucas Langarita and threw it down with two hands, silencing the Turkish supporters. However, Turkey struggled to find their rhythm as the quarter progressed. There was a moment of concern when Sivas of Turkey landed awkwardly after a 3-point shot. Unfortunately, the referees did not recognize the situation promptly, leaving him unattended on the floor. Sivas had to be lifted off the court, and it later appeared to be a knee injury. Meanwhile, Asenjo of Spain initiated a fast break sequence, stealing the ball and finding Rodriguez, who then delivered a behind-the-back pass to Garuba for an easy layup, further increasing Spain’s lead to 46-24 with 01:43 remaining in the half.

Spain maintained their dominance in the third quarter, outscoring Turkey and building a commanding 67-38 lead by the end of the period.

As the fourth quarter unfolded, the intensity and emotions ran high, with both teams giving their all. Turkey displayed improved performance in the final quarter but fell short in their comeback attempt. The game concluded with a final score of 83-51 in favor of Spain, solidifying their place in the Finals.

Spain’s impressive display of skill and teamwork throughout the game, led by Jordi Rodriguez’s stellar performance, secured them a well-deserved victory, setting the stage for an exciting Finals clash against France.

Karahan Efeoglu led Turkey with 12 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Spain’s dominant performance.
