18-year-old Arsenal midfielder Jimi Gower has agreed to professional terms with the club, signing his first professional contract.

Gower joined the Hale End Academy in 2017 and has been an integral part of the team since then.

As an attacking midfielder, he made 21 appearances for Jack Wilshere’s U18s side last season, playing a crucial role in Arsenal’s journey to the FA Youth Cup final.

Gower’s impressive form was evident at the start of the year, where he scored four goals in five U18s Premier League matches during January and February. This outstanding performance earned him a debut in the Premier League 2 Division One for the U21s against Blackburn Rovers in March.

Expressing his delight at signing the contract, Gower said in an interview, “I’m incredibly proud and excited to have signed my professional contract. It’s something I’ve been working towards for a long time, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.”

When asked about his playing style, Gower described himself as a creative midfielder who enjoys both creating scoring opportunities and finding the back of the net himself.
