Nedas Cholevinskas has committed his future to Lithuania after signing a three-year deal with Rytas Vilnius, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Nedas Cholevinskas joins Rytas Vilnius from Barking Abbey School, where he made a significant impact in the EABL (Elite Academy Basketball League) and NBL Division 1 league. In the 2022/2023 season he was named MVP of the Southern Conference in the EABL, showcasing his exceptional talent and leadership on the court.

Cholevinskas also went on to lead his team to victory in the EABL National Championship. During this championship game, he delivered an outstanding performance, scoring a game-high 17 points and grabbing 3 rebounds.

His excellence extended beyond school competitions. He also claimed the MVP title at the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic U19 game, where he impressed with 21 points and 8 rebounds.

The EABL MVP suited up for Great Britain at the 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship Division B. His contributions were invaluable as he averaged 14.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 37% from behind the arc. His performances played a pivotal role in Great Britain’s fifth-place finish, and he was even shortlisted as a potential candidate for the tournament all-star five.

It feels great to take the next step; it’s very exciting for me with all the privileges that it comes with.

GB and Barking Abbey have given me great experiences. Barking allowed me to play with men, which helped me adapt to a more physical game, and GB has given me experience of very high-level basketball.

I’m looking to develop my skill set and improve all the other aspects, such as shooting, dribbling, and athletic ability.
