U18 Premier League: Top performers from 9th December 2023

Only four fixtures took place in the U18 Premier League this week but there was no shortage of goals with 22 being scored. In the North, Leeds United and Sunderland earned impressive victories while Tottenham Hotspur extended their lead at the top in the south. At the other end of the table, Norwich City earned their first win of the season in stunning fashion. Here are the standout stars from a reduced U18 Premier League weekend.

Marley Wilson, Leeds United

Marley Wilson bagged a hat-trick as Leeds United thrashed Derby County 6-1. The 18-year-old scored from the penalty spot after 20 minutes before quickly adding a second goal. He then found the net again in first-half stoppage time to complete his treble. The forward is enjoying an incredible campaign including nine goals in his last five matches in all competitions. He has already beaten his goal tally for the last two seasons combined!

Elliot Myles, Norwich City

Elliot Myles scored twice and provided an assist as Norwich City ended their winless run in style beating Brighton & Hove Albion 6-1. The 16-year-old set up Gabriel Forsyth for the opener after five minutes before netting the Canaries’ fifth and sixth himself late in the second half. The winger has five goals in seven league matches this season and scored on his debut for Wales U17s last month.

Callum Olusesi, Tottenham Hotspur

Callum Olusesi netted a brace in Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 win away at 10-man Fulham. The 16-year-old opened the scoring inside two minutes before tucking away his and Spurs’ second midway through the first half. The midfielder has scored seven goals for club and country this season including a brace for England U17s against Kosovo. Olusesi has already bettered his goal tally for last campaign in half the amount of games.
