Introducing Farhaan Ali Wahid, who recently was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament at the just-ended 2024 Rewe Junior Cup in Germany. He is one of the twelve 2023-24 Fulham scholars who joined the club from Chelsea at Under-12s level.

He made his Under-18s Premier League debut last season in a 3 – 3 draw against West Brom.

Position and Style of Play

Ali Wahid can play on either flank on the wing. He is an exciting winger who is direct and loves 1v1 situations against his fullback. He also has the ability to finish when chopping in or going down the outside, which makes him an “effective attacker”, according to the Fulham website.

Ali Wahid has played 281 minutes for Fulham this season in the U18 Premier League South. He has got on the scoresheet twice against Brighton Hove & Albion, and he has also provided two assists against Leicester City and Reading. Although he has started two out of his last nine league games for Ali Melloul’s side this campaign, his contribution of 4 goals & assists has a Fulham side sitting fifth in the table.

The Future

Given this is Ali Wahid’s first full season playing U18 Premier League football this campaign, he will hope to build on the minutes he has played so far this season to continue his development. Before the Christmas break, he started the last two league games, and he will want to carry on that momentum going into the second half of the league season. The 17-year-old winger will want to continue where he left off from the 2024 Rewe Junior Cup competition, where Fulham reached the quarter-finals, narrowly losing 2 – 1 to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. Despite the disappointment, he was awarded the MVP of the Tournament. From now until the end of the season, this is his chance to continue performing well and secure a professional contract.
