Led by a Lewis Malcolm masterclass, Charnwood took Derby down by 20 points to edge Myerscough to the top spot in the North on points difference.

Malcolm exploded for 29 points, seven rebounds and four steals in what was by far his best performance of the season and what a time for it to come.

Edward Onyia has been the star man for Charnwood this season and has produced some incredible individual showings, including his 40-point performance against BMET.

Onyia has averaged a double double in the regular season with 20.0 points and 10.2 rebounds in his side’s successful campaign.

6’2 guard Oscar Curran was involved in all 12 of Charnwood’s fixtures and averaged 12.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

He led the team in assists and steals and was second in average minutes and three-point percentage, with only Onyia being more efficient than Curran.

Ross averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game, making 45.9% of his shots from the field.

Looking ahead to the Northern side of the play-offs, Charnwood will take on JMA Reading Rockets while Myerscough will meet Canterbury.
