Errol Mundle-Smith, Norwich City

Errol Mundle-Smith scored a brace in midweek to give Norwich City a vital 2 – 0 win against Tottenham Hotspur. This was Norwich City’s first win in six games in all competitions, with their last victory being a 2 – 1 away win against Leicester City. Mundle-Smith opened the scoring for his side in the 30th minute, and then in the 81st minute, he sealed the win for Norwich City courtesy of an assist from Alex Roberts. His double on Tuesday afternoon took his tally to seven league goals.

Joseph Gibbard, Crystal Palace

Joseph Gibbard got on the scoresheet twice as Crystal Palace defeated Southampton 3 – 0 away from home, as they recorded their fourth league win in a row. His brace at the weekend was his first league goals of the 2023/24 U18 Premier League campaign.

Gibbard opened the scoring for Crystal Palace in the 3rd minute after good play from Finley Marjoram and Matteo Dashi, with the latter teeing up Gibbard, who shot outside of the box first time to give his side an early lead. Gibbard got his second goal in the 39th minute after good pressing from the midfielder, dispossessing the Southampton defender as they tried to play out from the back, and he slotted calmly to score his second goal of the match.
