Manchester United concluded a memorable season after they beat Wolves to be crowned champions of the U18 Premier League North.

Gabriele Biancheri’s first half brace was enough to see the young Red Devils past the Wanderers as they confirmed their domestic triumph with a 2-1 win.

Biancheri has been pivotal to United’s title winning campaign as he found the net 10 times in 18 games as well as grabbing three assists so far.

James Scanlon and Ethan Wheatley both scored eight times while Ethan Williams netted seven of his own in the U18 PL and the future looks bright for United’s attack.

Including an incredible 17 game winning streak, Adam Lawrence’s side have won 19 out of 22 games, only losing once with a whopping 33 players contributing to their success.

Manchester United Academy Director Nick Cox told the club website: “I am extremely proud of what Adam Lawrence, the staff and the players have been able to achieve this season.

“The players have been stretched, with exposure to numerous competitions and age-group games, whilst also supporting the first-team squad.

“They have consistently risen to each challenge that we have intentionally designed for them and accomplished something really special together.”

With an average age of 17.4 years-old, this youthful United team still have plenty to look forward to this season as they prepare for a Manchester derby in the U18 PL Cup final on the 23rd of April.

The newly crowned Northern champions await their opponent for the national title, which is Chelsea as it stands as they sit at the summit of the U18 PL South.
