On Friday the 10th of May, the Etihad Stadium will play host to the FA Youth Cup final between Manchester City and Leeds United.

City will enjoy being on home soil and in front of a bumper crowd while Leeds will seek an upset in order to claim their third youth cup crown.

The Yorkshire side dispatched Millwall in a thrilling semi-final as they triumphed 4-3 in front of 10,000 supporters at Elland Road, booking their first final appearance in 27 years.

A single goal from Ashton Muir was enough to see City through as they knocked out Bristol City at the Joie Stadium, they look forward to their sixth FAYC final in 10 seasons.

Ben Wilkinson’s side will be hoping to claim some silverware at the second time of asking after they lost out in the U18 Premier League Cup final to their Manchester rivals last month.

They occupy the second spot in the U18 PL North while Leeds sit a few places below them in fifth ahead of Friday’s final.

The two teams met less than two weeks ago with the Blues breezing to a 4-1 victory thanks to a Matthew Warhurst hat trick and a Justin Oboavwoduo strike.

City will be looking to the likes of Warhurst for goals in the final with the centre forward finding the net 20 times in 27 appearances in all competitions this season.

Marley Wilson will be the focal point for the Whites as he has struck three times in four FAYC matches while scoring seven times in eight league appearances.

The young Cityzens have won the competition on three occasions with their most recent victory coming in 2020, while Leeds haven’t seen success in this competition since 1997.

The match will kick off at 19:00 BST and is available to watch on The FA Player, Emirates FA Cup X, YouTube and TikTok channels.
